Travel Medical Lab Technician Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in laboratory procedures and techniques, with a focus on delivering accurate diagnostic results to support patient care. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will perform a variety of laboratory tests, assist in specimen collection and processing, and collaborate closely with medical staff to ensure high-quality laboratory services. Responsibilities of Medical Lab Technician:
Shift:
12- hours Flexible 36 hours/week. (3
  • 12) 13-week contract Conduct a wide range of laboratory tests utilizing established procedures and techniques to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.
Collect, process, and analyze specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Perform venipuncture and blood sampling procedures to obtain specimens for testing, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Maintain accurate documentation of test results, specimen details, and laboratory activities in compliance with regulatory standards. Calibrate and operate laboratory equipment regularly, troubleshooting issues as needed to ensure optimal performance. Follow strict safety protocols and infection control measures to uphold a sterile environment within the laboratory setting. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide timely reports that support clinical decision-making. Assist in maintaining inventory levels of laboratory supplies, ensuring all materials meet quality standards for testing accuracy. Requirements Proven experience in clinical or hospital laboratories with proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to laboratory testing. Hands-on experience with specimen collection methods such as venipuncture and blood sampling. Familiarity with hospital environments, including understanding patient care protocols related to specimen handling. Demonstrated competence in phlebotomy, vital signs measurement, and aseptic technique application. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately document and interpret laboratory data. Certification or licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician is preferred; relevant training or internship experience is acceptable for entry-level candidates.
