Pay Rate:
$23/hour (max)
Schedule:
40 hours/week, onsite, Monday-Friday with rotating shifts (7:00 AM-3:00 PM and 9:00 AM-5:00 PM)
Important:
This role involves exposure to common food, environmental, and chemical allergens. Steel-toe shoes are required. Primary Responsibilities Process and prepare samples for laboratory testing using grinding mills, blenders, Magic Bullet grinders, and liquid nitrogen. Accurately aliquot, label, store, and organize samples. Enter sample preparation details into a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Support dishroom operations by cleaning and maintaining laboratory glassware. Coordinate with multiple lab teams to ensure timely glassware availability. Prepare samples for shipment to third-party laboratories. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment. Follow all safety and quality procedures, including GMP, OSHA, ISO, and PPE requirements. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience OR an Associate's/Bachelor's degree in a science-related field. Experience working in fast-paced laboratory environments. Ability to stand for 5-6 hours per day and lift up to 40 pounds. Preferred Skills Experience with LIMS and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of food testing services. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently with a proactive mindset. Required PPE and Physical Requirements Candidates must be comfortable working while wearing: Laboratory coat Face shield Hearing protection OSHA-approved safety glasses Cryogenic gloves Steel-toe shoes Ideal Candidate Profile This position is well suited for candidates with experience in: Sample preparation or laboratory operations Food, environmental, or analytical testing laboratories Laboratory support or specimen processing roles High-volume production or quality-controlled environments The role is split between sample processing and dishroom support , making it ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, physically active, and comfortable handling repetitive tasks in a fast-paced laboratory setting.
