Required Qualifications:

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in neuroscience or a related field or a combination of education and work experience to equal 4 years. 1-2 years of previous experience conducting behavioral neuroscience research in laboratory rodents.

Preferred Qualifications:

Interest in research on neuropsychiatric conditions, using laboratory mice as an experimental system. 50% Technical research support: carry out experiments under the supervision of the PI and/or a senior laboratory member. Responsibilities may include assistance with intracranial surgeries, analysis of rodent behavior, and processing brain tissue samples. 50% General laboratory support and management: order and maintain inventory of common supplies for the laboratory, maintain equipment in working order, keep records of protocols and standard operating procedures, oversee maintenance of transgenic mouse colonies. Neuroscience is the scientific study of the nervous system. It is an interdisciplinary science that collaborates with other fields such as chemistry, computer science, engineering, linguistics, mathematics, medicine and allied disciplines, philosophy, physics, and psychology.
