JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Laboratory Test Technician to join a collaborative team focused on development and growth. This is an entry-level role designed to provide foundational experience in a laboratory environment, supporting testing operations in accordance with established procedures and
ISO 17025
standards. You'll gain exposure to complex equipment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives while building your technical skillset. The ideal candidate is curious, coachable, and eager to grow within a team that prioritizes learning and long-term development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and
ISO 17025
standards Set up, operate, and maintain complex laboratory equipment and instrumentation Execute test unit setup based on lab procedures and test request specifications Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and facility maintenance tasks Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units, equipment, and facility systems Identify, document, and report nonconformities or abnormal testing conditions Create accurate records of testing activities in accordance with laboratory documentation requirements Ensure compliance with all laboratory standards, procedures, and clean work environment expectations Maintain awareness and adherence to EH&S safety policies and regulations Collaborate and communicate effectively with laboratory and project teams Support continuous improvement initiatives within laboratory operations Implement corrective and preventative actions when issues are identified Obtain and maintain relevant certifications (fork truck, scissor lift, refrigerant handling, etc.) Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to other technicians (senior-level responsibilities only)
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in HVAC&R or equivalent hands-on experience Experience in a mechanical test lab or field service environment (preferred) Relevant certifications such as EPA 608 Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn in a hands-on environment Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused, growth-oriented culture Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills Mentorship or training experience (preferred)
