Must be flexible with hours. About the role The Laboratory manages all biological samples from studies conducted on-site, ensuring they are collected, processed, stored and transported according to the HREC approved Study Protocol, principles of ICH-GCP and all applicable legislative and regulatory requirements. The site laboratory also conducts calibration, validation and routine maintenance on all equipment used in the processing of biological samples and provides laboratory support to Nucleus Network staff, Sponsors and their representatives, associated organizations and prospective clients. Key responsibilities Maintain a safe working environment and safe biological sample handling procedures. Ensure that samples for all studies are processed in accordance with protocol and Sponsor requirements. Prioritize tasks within a time critical environment to ensure study samples are collected, processed, stored and shipped in a timely manner and in accordance with approved protocol, sponsor requirements and NN Standard Operating Procedures Be knowledgeable of each study's laboratory requirements so that they are completed correctly and completely. Comply with quality management system by adhering to documented laboratory procedures and Nucleus Network SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Operate, maintain, calibrate and clean instruments and equipment as required. Assist with Laboratory consumable supply inventory and chemical inventory to ensure supply meets the requirements of Nucleus Network. Provide laboratory support to Nucleus Network staff, Sponsors and their representatives, associated organizations and perspective clients. Maintain professional working relationships with all parties involved in each clinical trial. Observe the security procedures required by confidentiality and other agreements. Undertake internal and external training. Participate and contribute to regular Laboratory meetings. Other duties as directed by Laboratory Supervisor, Laboratory Manager or other NN Managers (as required). Requirements Experience in a clinical or research laboratory or similar experience with transferrable skills. Good computer literacy with sound knowledge of MS Office package. High attention to detail.
