Job Description

Regions Hospital Laboratory is currently seeking a professional, quality-focused Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. The Medical Laboratory Technician I in the Clinical Laboratory will be required to: Perform laboratory tests in the section assigned. Perform tests and procedures in perform functions associated with obtaining, receiving and processing of specimens in patients of all ages. Maintain laboratory equipment and appropriate records. Perform related duties as assigned. This position will also serve as a resource for questions from hospital and clinic staff regarding specimen handling and processing.

Evening Shift Required Qualifications:
Graduation with an associate degree from an approved Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program; equivalent degree or experience. Or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
ASCP or equivalent certification as MLT. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific area may substitute for certification requirement.
