Job Description:
The Research Associate will play a major role in developing and improving enzymatic and analytical strategies for biofuel production in CTE Global's Tech Center. The applicant should meet the following responsibilities and requirements.
Role and responsibilities:
Assist in leading CTE Global's Tech Center team towards accomplishing Research and Development (R D) and customer service goals Contribute to the R D of new high-performance CTE Global products and analytical advances Have ownership of assigned R D work and independently operate all aspects of the process with a hands-on approach Meticulously execute standard operating procedures (SOP) and participate in the development of new SOP's Execute R D requests from customers as planned in coordination with R D Scientist and Lab Manager Operate analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC-MS, and 96-well spectrophotometer Analyze R D data and analytical services data using rigorous statistical analysis on JMP analytical software platform Clearly communicate all results through written and verbal reports to R D Scientist and Lab Manager Follow all Health and Safety requirements in every aspect of Tech Center Operations Maintain confidentiality of work-related issues and CTE proprietary information Demonstrate courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers, direct reports, the public and CTE-Management staff Collaborate with Technology Center Manager and R D Scientist in preparing and executing hands-on/classroom training sessions for new staff and customers

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or Biochemistry 3+ years of work experience in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology related field Microsoft Office Suite proficiency Desired, but not required qualifications: JMP analytical software proficiency HPLC, GC-MS, and laboratory automation proficiency Computational biology or statistical analysis proficiency
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
