This role supports laboratory operations for high-density genotyping by performing sample processing and production activities within the Precision Genomics Targeted Library Creation team. This role requires maintaining quality, efficiency, and accurate data management while meeting production timelines. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Job Description Perform sample preparation and manual DNA extraction processes, including scooping and grinding Complete Infinium preparation activities for the High-Density (HD) Lab Process seed and leaf sample check-in activities Execute laboratory setup tasks using manual and automated workflows Manage project check-in and maintain records in LIMS Support shipping, receiving, and laboratory inventory activities Maintain seed storage compliance requirements Operate and troubleshoot automated equipment as needed Collaborate with production teams to achieve daily and weekly targets Skills Required Demonstrated reliability and strong attendance Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment Experience handling large sample volumes or production workflows preferred Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to operate and troubleshoot automated equipment independently Mechanical or technical aptitude preferred Experience working with laboratory automation is an advantage Familiarity with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) preferred Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Strong attention to detail and process adherence Education/Training/Certifications Background in Biology, Genomics, Laboratory Science, or related field preferred Technical, engineering, or mechanical aptitude is an advantage Experience in laboratory, production, retail, food service, or other fast-paced environments considered an asset Additional Requirements Must pass a drug screening and background check Work Monday through Friday, Day Shift (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Ability to meet production deadlines and turnaround expectations
Pay Rate/Salary Estimated Salary:
$22.00 to $30.00 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors. HarveStaff LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
