The role is part of a Precision Genomics Detection team supporting high-throughput genotyping workflows in a highly automated laboratory environment. The candidate will perform manual and semi-automated PCR setup and contribute to daily and weekly production targets under strict deadlines. This position involves collaboration with a large production team to ensure efficient sample processing and lab operations. Job Description Perform manual and semi-automated PCR setup supporting biotech and trait pipelines Process large volumes of samples through production workflows using manual and automated lab equipment Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and automation systems Utilize LIMS systems for sample tracking and workflow management Support preventative maintenance and lab health activities Assist with experimental setup and basic process execution as needed Collaborate with onsite and remote team members across multiple shifts May cross-train in library creation and other production lab functions Contribute to high-throughput genotyping operations under tight deadlines Skills Required 0-2 years of relevant experience required Reliability and strong work ethic in a high-demand production environment Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume sample processing settings Mechanical and technical aptitude for operating and troubleshooting lab automation Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sample handling and documentation Effective communication skills (verbal and written) Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks Ability to work independently and make decisions in real time Familiarity with LIMS and laboratory automation preferred Intermediate Microsoft Office skills; advanced Excel preferred Education/Training/Certifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field preferred Additional Requirements Must pass a drug screening and background check Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 2nd shift (1:00 PM - 9:00 PM) Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs Flexibility for occasional off-shift or extended hours during peak periods Open to both local and relocating candidates Role is primarily production and maintenance-focused with some process improvement exposure Team environment includes multiple shifts and a mix of full-time employees and contractors Assignment may be extended in 6-month increments based on performance
Pay Rate/Salary Estimated Salary:
$28.71 to $36.71 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors. HarveStaff LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
