Responsibilities:
Adherence to
Protocols and Safety Guidelines:
Follow established laboratory protocols and safety guidelines rigorously. Maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Precise Record Keeping and Data Management:
Pay meticulous attention to detail. Maintain accurate records and manage data effectively. Keep detailed and organized laboratory notebooks.
Collaboration and Independence:
Work both independently and collaboratively with other lab members. Provide assistance and training to fellow researchers as needed.
Laboratory Techniques:
Prepare reagents for experiments. Perform molecular biology techniques, including but not limited to DNA extraction, PCR, Rt-PCR, and gel electrophoresis. Cultivate and maintain bacterial cultures. Successful candidates will be persuasive communicators with exceptional organizational and time management skills. They must demonstrate the following durable skills: leadership, character, collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, metacognition, mindfulness, growth mindset, and fortitude. Additionally, customer service, confidentiality, integrity, and a commitment to the university values. Must be available for reliable and consistent onsite work. $18.87 - $34.87 hourly
