Join our lab team at NKC Health, where you'll be part of a dedicated group of professionals caring for patients. Responsibilities Under the direction of Clinical Supervisors, Medical Laboratory Scientists and Lab Coordinators performs receptionist, processor (Core, Microbiology or Anatomic Pathology), and phlebotomist duties to serve patients with compassion and empathy. Communicate professionally with nursing staff, physicians, and lab personnel regarding specimen needs or issues Accurately enter and verify patient and specimen data Provide courteous, professional service to the patients and families Follow infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and hospital safety regulations at all times Experience The Lab Assistant II must have-1year NKC Health experience, and either be cross-trained in 3 departments (Phlebotomy, Processing, Reference Lab, or Front Desk / Toxicology) OR Be a clinical specialist in Microbiology or Pathology. Special Skills Computer usage, customer service, attention to detail, dexterity, Comfort handling biological specimens, and stamina. License/Certification/Education High school Diploma or Equivalent-REQUIRED
