PRN Responsibilities :

Collect s patient s amples in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures, and regulatory standards Documents receipt of patient samples in the LIS/EMR ; processes and prepares samples for testing. May p erform and report basic laboratory testing , as needed. Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections
