Did you start a career in healthcare to do great things? Come work for NKC Health in our Lab as a Lab Assistant II , where you can be a part of something GREAT! Join our lab team at NKC Health, where you'll be part of a dedicated group of professionals caring for patients. Responsibilities Under the direction of Clinical Supervisors, Medical Laboratory Scientists and Lab Coordinators performs receptionist, processor( Core, Microbiology or Anatomic Pathology ), and phlebotomist duties to serve patients with compassion and empathy. Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages Properly label, handle, and transport specimens to the laboratory to ensure integrity and accuracy Communicate professionally with nursing staff, physicians, and lab personnel regarding specimen needs or issues Communicate effectively with clinical departments to resolve registration or order issues Accurately enter and verify patient and specimen data Provide courteous, professional service to the patients and families Follow infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and hospital safety regulations at all times Experience 1-2 years phlebotomy experience in a Clinic setting•
