Job Description

St. Louis, MO 63115
Pay Rate:
$20•$23/hr, paid weekly
Contract Duration:
90 Days (04/01/2026•06/29/2026)
Shifts:
2nd Shift (3:00 PM•11:00 PM) & 3rd Shift (11:00 PM•7:00 AM)
Work Schedule:
Biweekly Rotation Week 1: Monday•Friday Week 2: Monday•Sunday (Mandatory weekends based on customer demand) Overview ADM is seeking a qualified and motivated Laboratory Technician for our St. Louis facility. This role is critical to ensuring product quality through rigorous analytical testing and real-time process monitoring. You will utilize both wet chemistry and instrumental procedures to analyze samples, providing essential data to the operations team to keep production within specifications.
Key Responsibilities Analytical Testing:
Prepare and analyze process and finished product samples using instrumental and wet chemistry procedures (pH meters, balances, spectrophotometers).
Data Management:
Accurately record and document all test results using computerized systems, specifically Total Lab Client (TLC) .
Process Monitoring:
Conduct daily monitoring tests throughout the plant and immediately notify operations of any required adjustments based on your findings.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain samples for re-testing if necessary and compare equipment readouts against standards to ensure total system accuracy.
Equipment Care:
Perform light maintenance and routine calibration on laboratory instruments; ensure the lab remains clean and organized via strict housekeeping/sanitation.
Supply Chain:
Monitor lab inventory and notify supervisors when supplies need to be reordered.
Compliance:
Strictly adhere to all FDA, GMP, BATF, EPA, and OSHA standards and guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Associate degree or higher in a science-related field is preferred (2+ years).
Experience:
Prior experience in a plant, manufacturing, or laboratory setting. Hands-on experience with standard lab equipment (pH meters, spectrophotometers, etc.). Strong mathematical skills for calculating test results.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word and lab instrument software.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, ability to manage multiple tasks, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Physical & PPE Requirements Mandatory PPE:
Long pants and safety toe boots (minimum 6-inch height with a defined heel).
Stamina:
Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs .
Reliability:
Proven history of excellent attendance and a commitment to safety.
