Apply Overview Position Type Part Time Education Level Not Specified Apply Description The Oldroyd Lab at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center is seeking a reliable and organized individual to fill a part-time Research Assistant position. This role is expected to support the lab for 8 hours per week, with a regular schedule of 4 hours on Monday and 4 hours on Wednesday. The primary focus of this position is to assist with routine laboratory support tasks that are essential for maintaining day-to-day research operations.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning laboratory materials, glassware, and other items generated from routine media preparation and experiments Washing and sterilizing laboratory supplies and equipment Supporting general laboratory upkeep to maintain a clean and organized work environment Preparing media and stock solutions needed for experiments on an occasional basis Assisting with other routine laboratory support tasks as needed Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: Ability to carry out routine tasks carefully and consistently Good organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain a clean and orderly laboratory workspace Experience with sterile technique or laboratory media preparation is preferred but not required An interest in laboratory research or plant science is preferred but not required Live the Danforth Center values:

Prior laboratory experience is preferred, but students or trainees with relevant coursework in biology, chemistry, or a related field are encouraged to apply.
