Job Description

Job Summary:
Maintains glassware and some laboratory equipment; cleans and disinfects lab furniture, countertops, reagent bottles, etc. Replenishes supplies as needed for supplying washroom and supply room in laboratory. Distributes and stores glassware, equipment, and supplies upon receipt. Dates reagents prior to storage. Performs infection prevention and control measures and any other duties as assigned. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while begin sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.
Performance Expectations:
Performance expectations will be covered in the orientation and preceptor phase of your orientation to your job. Demonstrate the ability to use various computer programs. Demonstrate the ability to multitask within and between laboratory sections. Demonstrate ability to maintain cleanliness of the laboratory Demonstrate ability to segregate supplies by storage temperature requirements, and organize by expiration date. Demonstrate ability to clean laboratory glassware Demonstrate the ability to maintain a safe and clean environment within the clinical area in accordance with established standards and regulations
Qualifications:
Education/Skills High school graduate or G.E.D. preferred.

Ability to set priorities for tasks, communicate effectively, cooperate with others, perform repetitive tasks, to take orders and follow directions.
