Flowood, MSWork Schedule:
Monday - Friday 1:00pm - 9:30pm; ability to cover 1st and 3rd shift and rotating Saturday and Sunday mornings. Also will need to be able to cover mornings at St Dominic as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the Department Name departmentHelp lead the team in their daily processes and proceduresAssist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testingOversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areasEncourage process improvements and best practicesPerform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracyResolve any production errors as requested by managementResearch and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessaryEngage in continuous process and service level improvementsPerform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracyResponsible for enforcing and managing policies and proceduresPerform administrative duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED or equivalent3 years or more experience in lab, accessioning, data entry or production.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree3 years or more experience working in a clinical laboratory3 years or more experience as a people leader
Job Additional Standards:
Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills; both written and verbalHigh level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skillsStrong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environmentAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionFamiliarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresAble to pass a standardized color blindness testAre you detail oriented, process focused, and enjoy leading others?
