Job Description

Highland Hills Medical Center has an immediate opening for a Laboratory Assistant. This is a full-time position for days and includes hospital benefits of health, vision, dental, and life insurance, as well as participation in the retirement fund. The day shifts are Monday through Friday, except for two (2) Sundays required each month. Position Summary A Laboratory Assistant provides support to laboratory operations under the supervision of qualified laboratory personnel. Responsibilities include specimen collection and processing, waived testing, inventory management, documentation, send-out testing, data entry, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate laboratory services. Communication and Teamwork 7. Downtime and Quality Support Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Phlebotomy training preferred. Current BLS certification required. Basic computer skills and familiarity with laboratory information systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Commitment to patient confidentiality and safety.
