Job Description

Arrowhead Industrial Services USA, Inc. (AISI) is seeking a Test Technician. The Test Technician at the Graham office performs routine testing, inspection support, and sample handling activities in support of AISI programs. The entry-level role is responsible for safely operating test equipment, accurately recording data, and following established procedures and quality requirements to support pressure receptacle and related product evaluations. Major Duties & Responsibilities Testing and Inspection Support- 40% Collect drawings, calculations, specifications, and related design documents for review. Perform basic data checks (dimensions, units, material callouts, pressures) against checklists and instructions provided by senior staff. Enter and update design review comments, questions, and action items into standard templates and tracking logs.​ Data Collection and Documentation-30% Record test parameters, observations, and results on approved data sheets or electronic systems with a high level of accuracy. Label, track, and maintain traceability of samples and test pieces from receipt through disposition. Assemble complete test/job packets for review, including data sheets, checklists, photos, and supporting documents. Equipment Use and Care-10% Operate laboratory equipment, tools, and measurement devices safely and according to instructions. Perform routine checks (visual condition, basic function) on equipment prior to use and report any issues to the Lab Manager. Assist with basic cleaning and organization of the lab, test areas, and common equipment. Safety and Compliance-5% Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and hazard controls in the Graham lab and associated test areas. Participate in required safety and Hazardous Materials Training and apply learned practices to daily work. Immediately report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents to the Lab Manager or Supervisor. Quality System Support-5% Adhere to established procedures, test methods, and document control requirements when performing and recording work. Support internal and external audit activities by locating records and answering basic questions about routine lab processes. Report potential nonconformances, data discrepancies, or procedural issues to the Lab Manager for evaluation. Communication and Teamwork-5% Coordinate daily activities with the Lab Manager and other lab staff to meet priorities and deadlines. Communicate clearly about test status, issues, and resource needs. Support cross‑training and assist colleagues as needed to ensure continuity of lab operations. Other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned -5% Knowledge & Abilities Basic understanding of mechanics of materials and introductory pressure boundary concepts. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and simple technical specifications with guidance. Proficiency with common office software (spreadsheets, word processing, email); basic familiarity with CAD or calculation tools is a plus. Strong attention to detail when checking numbers, units, and cross references. Clear written and verbal communication skills and willingness to ask questions when unsure. Ability to follow detailed instructions, manage assigned tasks, and work collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, ultrasonic thickness devices, thread gauges, and bore gauges, including proper use and basic calibration concepts.​ Ability to work safely around sharp edges, flying debris, dust, noise, and material handling hazards while properly using required PPE.​
Job Requirements Minimum Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certificate or coursework in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical, industrial, laboratory technology).
Preferred Education and Experience:
1+ years prior experience in a testing laboratory, manufacturing, quality, or mechanical/technical environment.
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
