In this vital role, you will perform a variety of laboratory procedures and clinical tests to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and research initiatives. Your expertise in laboratory techniques, specimen collection, and data management will contribute significantly to the accuracy and efficiency of our clinical operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, a passion for healthcare, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of laboratory safety and quality. Duties Collect and process biological specimens such as blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids using aseptic techniques and venipuncture methods. Perform laboratory assays including ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay), PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction), flow cytometry, immunoassays, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and blood banking procedures. Manage laboratory data accurately within Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) while ensuring data integrity through meticulous record-keeping and data analysis skills. Conduct routine laboratory procedures such as specimen processing, blood sampling, physiology measurements (vital signs), and blood banking activities. Operate advanced laboratory equipment including centrifuges, PCR machines, flow cytometers, and other diagnostic instruments following strict protocols. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment by adhering to safety standards, aseptic techniques, and proper waste disposal practices. Support clinical trials and research laboratories by preparing reagents, managing assay workflows, and assisting with experimental procedures. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results accurately and communicate findings effectively. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical terminology standards, and regulatory requirements related to laboratory procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting with proficiency in laboratory techniques such as PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and immunoassays. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology concepts, and blood banking procedures. Hands-on experience with specimen collection/processing including venipuncture (blood sampling) and phlebotomy. Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data management and analysis. Excellent understanding of laboratory safety protocols including aseptic technique and handling hazardous materials. Ability to perform accurate data analysis and maintain detailed records for clinical or research purposes. Knowledge of hospital or clinical environment operations is highly desirable. Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced settings. Certification or training in phlebotomy or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
