This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career scientist interested in preclinical research, immunology, toxicology, and laboratory operations. BRT is a contract research organization (CRO) specializing in immunotoxicology, immune safety, hypersensitivity assessment, and both in vivo and in vitro preclinical testing. Our team supports pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, and government clients through GLP and non-GLP studies focused on immune function, sensitization, and host resistance models. The Research Technician role is hands-on and collaborative, involving laboratory assays, sample processing, study support, documentation, equipment maintenance, and participation in regulated research environments. Responsibilities Perform laboratory procedures and support preclinical research studies Assist with assay setup, sample preparation, and data collection Maintain accurate study documentation and records in compliance with SOPs and GLP standards Support in vivo and/or in vitro study activities depending on training and project needs Operate and maintain laboratory equipment Assist with inventory management, receiving materials, and stocking supplies Participate in cleaning and general laboratory organization Work collaboratively with Study Directors, Scientists, and laboratory staff Follow all safety, quality, and compliance procedures Preferred Technical Experience Experience is not required, but preference may be given to candidates with exposure to: ELISA or cell-based assays Immunology or toxicology coursework/lab experience Animal research or handling experience (mice and rats) Flow cytometry, PCR, or cytokine assays GLP or regulated laboratory environments Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Toxicology, Animal Science, or related scientific field 0-3 years of laboratory or research experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to follow written procedures and protocols Strong communication and teamwork skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn About BRT Founded in 1996, Burleson Research Technologies (BRT) is an AAALAC-accredited CRO providing preclinical immunotoxicology and immune safety services.
