Working Title Temp CHM Grant Research Lab Assist Job Title Research Tech III Temp Position Type SHRA Temporary Job Category Research FLSA for Position Nonexempt Brief Summary of Work for this Position Maintaining cell culture lines Running biological assays as determined by the P.I. Assisting with generation of essential reagents, buffers, material as needed. Autoclaving waste, stocking supplies, keeping liquid nitrogen and CO2 tanks full. Running cell viability assays to assess the selective toxicity of novel, targeted anti-cancer compounds on human breast and prostate cancer cells. Assessing the nuclear accumulation of the selectively toxic compounds in cancer cells. Investigating the mechanism of toxicity observed in cancer cells. Collecting experimental data, analyzing data, writing up results and publishing our results. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Masters in Chemistry, Biology or related field.
