  • 12 Hours Shifts
  • 8 Days On/4 Days Off
  • 8 Nights On/4 Days Off rotating between day shift and night shift We're looking for individuals who:
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent who are willing and eager to learn a specialized set of skills to become a technical expert in O&G cement fluid design, quality control, and lab operation.
  • Are well-familiar with Microsoft operating systems and Office apps.
  • Have a solid attention to detail, and unwavering ability to follow procedures
  • Are willing to work a 8 on / 4 rotating between day shift and night shift
  • Are flexible to infrequent schedule changes as dictated by the needs of the business.
  • Able to pass company mandated pre-employment screening.
  • Comfortable working either as part a team with other members in the staff, and can also adapt to working stand-alone.
  • Available to occasionally travel for additional training classes, or to support another lab with fluctuating workloads.
Description:
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable PSD to customers. The Laboratory Technician identifies opportunities to improve service delivery. This person performs quality assurance tests on company products, prepares laboratory reports prior to service delivery at the wellsite, and provides advanced technical support during additive selection and fluid design. The Trainee Laboratory Technician maintains contact with the Client Support Labs and/or operating locations, product centers and the InTouch repository.
  • Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Develop the competency level required to perform advanced additive selection and fluid design.
  • Ensure that laboratory equipment is in clean, working condition and that waste is regularly disposed.
  • Prepare technical presentations for internal and external customers.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure the laboratory operates according to required standards.
  • Assist the Design/Technical Engineer and Product Champions with technical support as required.
  • Perform risk analysis before each task or job to identify and mitigate potential safety or quality concerns.
  • Participate in Service Quality Meetings with customers and improve performance using action plans.
  • Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives.
  • Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
  • Maintain the required safety training. Experience & Skills
  • Entry-level; no minimum years of experience required, will train Top skills: flexibility, willingness to learn, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong communication
