Salary/Hourly Rate $21/hr Position Overview The Lab Technician, Chemistry supports the Scientists on the R D team through wet chemistry and instrumental analysis. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with a Bachelor's in the sciences who enjoys practical lab work and thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment. This is a long-term contract position, and some associates are hired directly by the company. Responsibilities Of The Lab Technician The Lab Technician will be assisting with sample preparation, testing, documentation, and general laboratory support. Carefully weighing and mixing raw materials. Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to accurately weigh, measure, mix, and prepare materials. Performing wet chemistry and instrumental testing to evaluate physical and chemical properties. Operating and maintaining laboratory instruments. Maintaining a clean, organized, and inspection-ready workbench and laboratory space. Entering, reviewing, and verifying test data with attention to accuracy and traceability. Managing chemical, sample, and consumable inventory to ensure supplies are stocked and organized. Adhering strictly to all safety protocols to maintain a safe and professional laboratory environment. Required Experience/Skills For The Lab Technician The Lab Technician will need hands-on experience handling chemicals, managing waste disposal, and documenting experimental results (academic experience is great!). Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately. Ability to independently calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot basic laboratory equipment. Preferred Experience/Skills For The Chemistry Lab Assistant Professional communication skills and a dependable, detail-oriented work style. Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and documentation. A positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and contribute within a team environment. Education Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field is required for the Lab Technician role. If the degree is in progress, but not yet completed, that can be acceptable.
