Job Description

Experience:
Entry Level Salary:
$20 - $32 per hour Job Details - We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Polysomnographic Technologist to join our innovative healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders, contributing to the overall health and well-being of our patients. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is committed to providing exceptional patient care, and is highly skilled in various polysomnographic procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Performing and evaluating overnight polysomnograms, including PAP titration (CPAP/BiPAP) and split-night studies. 2. Applying electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards. 3. Conducting and monitoring respiratory monitoring procedures. 4. Ensuring signal integrity and troubleshooting artifacts during polysomnographic recordings. 5. Calibrating equipment for patient use and performing routine maintenance and minor repairs. 6. Providing patient education about sleep disorders and coaching them for comfort during procedures. 7. Generating detailed clinical documentation and reports of polysomnographic results. 8. Adhering to infection prevention and aseptic techniques in the sleep lab. 9. Maintaining strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications:
1. An associate degree or equivalent in Polysomnography or a related field. 2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical polysomnography setting. 3. Proficiency in PAP titration, split-night studies, electrode/sensor application, and respiratory monitoring. 4. Strong knowledge of signal integrity and artifact troubleshooting, equipment calibration, maintenance, and minor repairs. 5. Excellent patient education and comfort coaching skills. 6. Experience with clinical documentation and report generation. 7. Familiarity with infection prevention and aseptic techniques. 8. A solid understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations. 9. Current certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT). 10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 11. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. 12.
