Job Description

Lab Technician Aloha Medicinals is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support laboratory operations within our Carson City manufacturing facility. This role focuses heavily on inoculation and clean room laboratory work, while also supporting general lab duties, testing, documentation, sample handling, and lab readiness activities. The Lab Technician works closely with the Lab Manager and production teams to help ensure materials are handled accurately, work areas are maintained properly, and all lab activities are completed in accordance with SOPs, GMP, food safety, sanitation, and quality requirements. Responsibilities Perform inoculation and related laboratory tasks in a clean room environment Support lab production activities, including preparation, handling, and documentation of materials used in inoculation or related lab processes Receive, label, organize, and safely store samples, materials, and laboratory supplies Prepare laboratory equipment and materials for testing, production support, and laboratory activities Perform assigned testing and record results accurately at the time of performance Maintain accurate laboratory records, equipment logs, and daily work documentation Clean, sanitize, and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas Maintain aseptic technique and contamination-control practices during assigned lab activities Support equipment checks, calibration coordination, and routine lab readiness activities Identify and communicate potential contamination risks, quality concerns, or deviations Report deviations, contamination concerns, equipment issues, or documentation errors to the Lab Manager or Quality team Ensure proper labeling and documentation of tested materials and lab activities Follow all SOPs, GMP, food safety, sanitation, safety, and quality procedures Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to follow oral and written instructions Ability to follow SOPs and complete documentation accurately Ability to identify potential contamination risks Ability to communicate questions, concerns, and results clearly Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments Basic computer and documentation skills Ability to maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work in a clean room environment requiring PPE, including gowning, gloves, and masks Ability to work around dust, noise, varying temperatures, laboratory materials, and controlled sanitation requirements Preferred Experience Experience in laboratory, manufacturing, food production, supplements, brewery, pharmaceutical, or regulated production environments Experience with GMP, HACCP, food safety, or other regulated quality systems Experience with technical documentation, lab records, or testing records Experience with aseptic technique, contamination control, clean room work, or sterile work practices Coursework or experience in biology, microbiology, mycology, or a related field preferred Opportunities for overtime may depend on business needs. The schedule may change on an as-needed basis.
