Kidney Specialist of Southern Nevada (KSOSN) is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Assistant to support laboratory operations at our laboratory in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in clinical lab environments and a dedication to patient care and precision. This is an in-person, full-time position.
Responsibilities :
Assist with basic clinical laboratory testing under supervision, in accordance with lab policies and medical regulations. Log specimens and accurately input patient data into the lab information system. Generate and distribute worklists to appropriate lab sections. Prepare specimens for transport to reference laboratories. Maintain records by filing hard copies, lab reports, and test result documentation. Ensure compliance with quality control and performance improvement procedures. Respond to incoming calls and serve as a primary liaison between the lab and client offices. Order and manage laboratory supply inventory. Maintain cleanliness and safety of the lab environment, including proper disposal of specimens. Assist with scheduling and coordination of non-technical staff. Perform other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Director or designee. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a laboratory setting. Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or American Medical Technologists (AMT).
