Summary:
About the Role As a Senior Laboratory Technician, you'll play an important part in advancing cancer research and patient care. Your work behind the scenes helps ensure that laboratory studies run smoothly, safely, and accurately—supporting discoveries that can change lives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on lab work, takes pride in organization and accuracy, and is excited to contribute to meaningful scientific research in a collaborative environment. What You'll Do In this role, you'll support a variety of research and laboratory activities.
You can expect to:
Analyze fluid and tissue samples using established laboratory techniques Prepare and maintain media, cultures, reagents, stains, and solutions Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment Track, store, and distribute specimens for analysis Support different phases of scientific research projects Maintain accurate records, reports, and data using computer systems Monitor inventory and ensure lab supplies are stocked and organized Follow safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times Train and guide students, lab assistants, and junior team members Stay current by participating in trainings, workshops, and continuing education opportunities What You'll Bring We're looking for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience 1. Master's degree in a science-related field; or 2. Bachelor's degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time laboratory experience, including six (6) months experience training or leading subordinate staff or students in the performance of assigned laboratory tasks; or 3. Associate's degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time laboratory experience, including six (6) months experience training or leading subordinate staff or students in the performance of assigned laboratory tasks; or 4. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time laboratory experience, including six (6) months experience training or leading subordinate staff or students in the performance of assigned laboratory tasks.

Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
