Competitive salary and benefits (health insurance, 401(k), PTO) Free farm-fresh vegetables, gym membership, and CBD product discounts Opportunity to drive growth in a rapidly expanding industry The Role Farmer Group's Extraction Lab Technician will work with the weekend shift (Thurs-Sun) extraction team to create high-quality cannabis extracts and concentrates in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment, while always putting safety first. This position is responsible for completing all aspects of extracting and refining cannabinoids from plant material into concentrated form using solvents, in compliance with departmental SOPs. Key Responsibilities Clean and maintain laboratory grade equipment, record and enter data in multiple forms, and associated tasks delegated by management Responsible for consistent, sanitary, and safe production of extracts adhering to company policies to uphold quality control and consistent product production Extract, refine, and purify cannabinoids from plant material into a concentrated form using solvents Prepare biomass for solvent-based extraction and post processing Prepare samples and log for analytical testing Adhere to specific quality control SOPs regarding procedural operations and quality of product produced Identify unsafe scenarios as they pertain to the Manufacturing Support Department Perform daily safety inspections for extraction systems Perform general routine maintenance on lab equipment - troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and regular data logging Wash and sanitize lab surfaces, glassware, equipment, and any other ancillary lab equipment Record all cleaning activities in daily logs Maintain and log all data sheets for chemicals and products physically and digitally Maintain effective communication with the Management Team to ensure all operational needs are met and any procedural problems are addressed and resolved proactively Open to constructive criticism and guidance and offer the same to others in the department Support other departmental personnel and activities as process demands Punctuality - Must arrive on time for each shift and take breaks/ lunch as scheduled •The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manuals/procedures. Ability to prioritize work tasks, multi-task, and maintain focus. Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
Required frequently:
standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
