Job Description

Organization Overview The basic approach of our laboratory is to use mouse models of neurological disease to elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which neuronal function is disrupted in Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, stroke, and other neuropathological conditions. Overview We are looking for a Research Assistant to join our team and aid in postdoc and research associate experiments, help maintain and organize our animal colony, and ensure our lab is running safely and smoothly.
Responsibilities Responsibilities include:
Rodent handling including genotyping and ID, injections Preparing solutions and reagents for lab members Performing experiments with lab members - Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, tissue homogenization and sectioning, animal behavior Retrieving packages and dry ice, preparing outgoing shipments Placing order requests for lab supplies Attending lab safety meetings and ensure lab is safe and compliant Performing related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field Previous experience performing benchwork in a wet lab setting

Compensation Range:
Min USD $50,000.00/Yr.
Compensation Range:
Max USD $55,000.00/Yr.
