$43,485.95 $43,485.95 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Under the supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor & Director, the inclumbent will be required to complete several day-to-day lab duties including but not limited to: Maintaining daily logbooks, monitoring inventory, cleaning microscopic slides, picking up specimens from several hospital locations, slide and report filing, and organizing the stockroom and laboratory. Performs other related duties pertaining to the proper functioning of the work unit. Responsibilities Slide cleaning, slide and report filing
  • 35% Maintaining logbooks, data entry, monitoring inventory
  • 25% Specimen pick-up, organizing lab and stock-room
  • 25% Cleaning/ maintaining water baths, refrigerators, incubators and other laboratory equipment
  • 10% Perform other related duties as required
  • 5% Minimum Qualifications High School graduate or equivalency certificate with some related experience, usually six months.
Some laboratory experience may be required. Preferred Qualifications Must have experience with laboratory safety and simple laboratory techniques. The Candidate must have the ability to write legibly and to work in an organized manner in accordance with safety regulations as well as policies and procedures.
