Job DescriptionThe Lab Support Technician plays a critical role in maintaining day-to-day laboratory operations within a regulated environment. This position focuses on lab organization, equipment upkeep, inventory management, and coordination across teams to ensure efficient workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain laboratory supplies, reagents, and media preparationManage inventory systems and ensure proper stock levelsClean, monitor, and maintain controlled temperature units, fume hoods, and biological safety cabinets (BSCs)Safely handle and transport compressed gases and cryogenic materialsUtilize electronic systems to track equipment maintenance, calibration, and workflowsCoordinate with multiple teams to support lab operations across departments and sitesManage lab notebooks and logbooks, ensuring accuracy and complianceFollow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for all records and data entrySupport routine equipment maintenance and calibration activitiesMaintain cleanliness, organization, and labeling of lab spacesWork in environments handling potent chemical compoundsSupport multiple laboratory locations (within a short commuting distance)Complete all safety and procedural training requirementsQualificationsAssociate degree in Life Sciences or equivalent hands-on experienceStrong organizational and computer skillsEffective written and verbal communicationClose attention to detail and the ability to follow regulated proceduresKnowledge of cGMP environments preferredAbility to work both independently and on a teamStrong work ethic, adaptability, and reliabilityAbility to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate recordsMust be able to meet physical demands (lifting up to 25 lbs, standing/walking for extended periods, pushing/pulling equipment)Must have reliable transportation between nearby sites (
