Job Summary Deliver high-volume clinical care with precision and compassion. As a Plasmapheresis Specialist you will take on a hands-on clinical role that supports donor safety and the production of life-saving plasma therapies. In this role, you'll perform venipuncture, monitor donor reactions, and manage equipment and documentation in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment. Your attention to detail and care will directly impact the quality of plasma collected and the donor experience. What you'll do
What You'll Do:
Perform venipuncture procedures and monitor donors throughout the plasmapheresis process. Educate donors on the donation process, center policies, compensation, and the importance of plasma-based therapies. Prepare the center for audits by maintaining cleanliness and compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards. Set up and operate Haemonetics Autopheresis machines, including responding to alarms and shutdowns. Administer immunizations and monitor for adverse reactions. Collect and label test samples accurately, including NAT testing protocols. Maintain and calibrate equipment, report malfunctions, and ensure readiness for daily operations. Record donor data and incidents in the electronic donor information system. Respond promptly and professionally to donor complaints, deferrals, or concerns. Support donor flow by working efficiently and alerting management to any bottlenecks or issues. Uphold data integrity and confidentiality for all donor and center information. Follow all SOPs, OSHA guidelines, and regulatory policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Qualifications and need-to-know
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be a currently licensed RN in good standing in the state of practice. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current CPR certification required. At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred. Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed healthcare professional preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to donor care and safety. Experience in plasma or blood collection is a plus. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California). Comfortable working in a regulated environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens and cold storage areas. Employment eligibility verification will be required at the time of hire.
