Split Shift:
10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected organization supporting quality laboratory and sensory evaluation operations within a regulated manufacturing environment. About the Role We are seeking an Associate Quality Lab Analyst to support laboratory testing, sensory evaluations, sample preparation, and quality operations. This role will work closely with quality and sensory teams to evaluate raw materials, intermediates, and finished products while supporting food safety and regulatory compliance initiatives. Candidates must be comfortable participating in sensory/tasting panels and must not have food allergies or smoking restrictions that could impact sensory evaluation responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in sensory screening and qualification testing
  • Support sample preparation activities and participate in sensory evaluation panels
  • Evaluate raw materials, intermediates, and finished products while documenting sensory descriptors and observations
  • Participate in global round robin sensory testing programs
  • Document and communicate non-conformances and quality observations to senior Quality personnel
  • Support development toward becoming a junior taster within the organization
  • Follow GMP, Food Safety, HACCP, OSHA, FDA, USDA, and company safety guidelines
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and compliance standards
  • Attend required safety and operational training sessions
  • Support food safety and quality compliance initiatives
  • Perform additional laboratory and quality-related tasks as assigned Qualifications
  • Vocational diploma or degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related scientific discipline required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of laboratory, quality, food, flavor, fragrance, or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Familiarity with laboratory systems, analytical equipment, and quality procedures preferred
  • Knowledge of chemical substances, hazardous materials, and laboratory safety practices preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to learn sensory evaluation processes
  • Must be able to participate in tasting/sensory evaluations
  • No food allergies
