Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procedure Check In and Urine Collector to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately verifying patient identities, collecting urine specimens, and ensuring all procedures adhere to strict laboratory and safety standards. Your energetic approach will help streamline the check-in process, maintain specimen integrity, and support clinical laboratory operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care and laboratory excellence in a fast-paced medical environment. Duties Verify patient identities using medical terminology and hospital protocols before specimen collection Collect urine specimens following aseptic techniques to prevent contamination Ensure proper labeling, handling, and documentation of all specimens in accordance with laboratory procedures Assist with check-in procedures, including updating patient records and confirming appointment details, assist patients with paperwork as needed for procedures. Maintain a clean and organized specimen collection area, adhering to infection control standards Support laboratory management by recording collection times, specimen types, and relevant notes accurately Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with physiology knowledge Requirements Prior experience in clinical or research laboratories, including specimen collection and processing Knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and medical terminology Proficiency in venipuncture, phlebotomy, spinal tap procedures, and catheterization techniques Familiarity with hospital environments and cardiac catheterization procedures is preferred Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is highly desirable Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pediatrics, veterinary terminology (if applicable), and related laboratory procedures Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow aseptic techniques precisely Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy Join our team to play a crucial role in delivering quality patient care through meticulous specimen collection and processing. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
