Pay Rate (Hourly): $54

Shift:

Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00), Friday through Sunday Responsibilities Processes patient specimens using prescribed methodology and instrumentation Adheres to Rapid Response Laboratory, Lab Administration and Medical Center policies and procedures Uses laboratory computer system to prepare reports, enter and retrieve test requests and results Performs and documents quality control and quality assurance procedures Performs and documents preventive maintenance Monitor instruments to assure accuracy and precision of results Recognizes, solves, and documents problems with patient samples Assists with development and implementation of policies and procedures Assists with laboratory compliance preparation Contacts physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals with critical patient results Reports and documents critical values and performs delta checks Participates in Quality Improvement activities Responds to telephone inquiries regarding patient results and testing Responds to technical questions or forwards to appropriate staff Files requisitions and maintains laboratory cleanliness and stock Documents cleaning and maintenance of instruments Participates in professional development and competency programs Assists in teaching students and new staff Follows all safety policies and procedures Requirements & Experience At least 1 year laboratory experience

EPIC EMR
