Microbiology Lab Technician Cuyahoga Falls, OH Sunday

52 /hour + $.65/hour 2nd Shift Differential Microbiology Lab Technician supports daily laboratory operations by preparing media, maintaining equipment, and performing routine microbiological tasks with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. This role requires strong organization, flexibility, and communication skills to manage multiple priorities. The technician ensures a clean, well-stocked, and compliant lab environment while contributing to accurate and reliable testing results.
Microbiology Lab Technician Responsibilities:
Follow SOPs to maintain compliance in an FDA-regulated facility Prepare and sterilize microbiological media, reagents, and solutions. Perform laboratory work using proper aseptic techniques to prevent contamination. Monitor, record, and maintain equipment performance through the LIMS system. Clean, sterilize, and organize glassware, instruments, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient lab environment. Restock and maintain inventory of lab supplies and materials. Support various laboratory activities as assigned Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure timely task completion. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, data entry, and reporting. Apply general biological or laboratory knowledge to support routine testing and research activities. Work in a team setting as well as individually
Microbiology Lab Technician Requirements:
Associate's or BS in a science-related field, Biology preferred. Have basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Be able to walk for extended periods of time Be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-change environment Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures Willingness to work 2nd shift: 3pm
