Job Description

Stark State College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Adjunct Instructor for our Medical Lab Technician program to join our dynamic faculty. Responsibilities include the preparation of instructional materials. Must have the ability to work effectively with students of different learning styles and backgrounds. Preparation of instructional materials, assessing student performance, including electronic submission of never attends, early alert, mid-term grades, and final grades by the required dates. Requires a highly trained and skilled MLS. This position supports instruction for classroom and laboratory settings. The teaching load may vary depending on the semester and include duties such as Provide remediation to individual students in the class and laboratory room in support of the program curriculum. Assist another faculty member in the program. Develop and prepare learning assessments and laboratory competencies. Grade assessments, competencies, and lab exercises. Evaluate students' cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains in conjunction with the Program Coordinator. Ensure course content meets accreditation and college guidelines. Perform course assessment and provide feedback to Program Coordinator. Other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator. Requires a Bachelor of Science. Requires MLS (ASCP) certification. A master's degree is preferred. A minimum of three years of hospital laboratory experience is preferred. Experience in most areas of the lab is a plus. Teaching experience at the post-secondary level is a plus.
