POSITION TERMS:

100% Onsite Virtual interview with hiring manager and 1-2 additional team members/managers Assists in the lab with routine tasks. Tests and evaluates beauty and home fragrance products to determine compliance with specifications and performance or packaging standards. Tracks testing status, documents observations and results, communicates cross-functionally for R D, QA and Package Engineering related testing. Testing of personal care/beauty products but not on skin, just in glass jars and varying packaging components, looking for changes in the product over time or non-functioning packaging components. There are daily tasks for evaluating test samples and taking care of the lab (tidying up the work benches after testing, putting tools back where they belong, changing chamber charts, pulling samples from the environmental chambers) preparing samples for testing and retaining/cataloging completed test samples, taking pictures as well as addressing QA challenges that come in to the lab to be accessed and retested Previous lab experience, curiosity or interest in personal care/beauty products, formulation and production of beauty products, interest in the engineering of packaging components. personable to work in the lab with a small super friendly group and who doesn't mind recycling the lab trash when necessary and sharing some of the mundane tasks in the lab like opening and organizing mail/in coming test samples, someone who does not mind a lot of fragrance/smells on any given day in the lab, someone who doesn't mind getting dirty or product on them occasionally, someone who doesn't mind being on camera or just speaking during Teams meetings with cross functional partners to share test results office casual dress environment, comfortable but not open toed shoes Assist R D Lab Specialist I in daily tasks Maintain and document testing status and results through the entire process.

Manage samples throughout testing process:

receipt, testing start, evaluation at required timepoints, retain/storage of samples when testing complete Fill and assemble samples for testing Support on additional tasks as needed. Shipping samples to vendors and cross-functional partners Manage organization of international bulk standards and shipping of said standards.

SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree in Scientific or Engineering fields and/or Related work experience in QA/R D/Manufacturing or laboratory Focus on detail Follows instructions/standard operating procedures Flexibility to meet shifting priorities Good written and oral communication skills MS Office Suite experience Organizational skills MS Office experience (Teams, Excel) Team-player attitude Excel, SAP experience
