Job Description

R&D Lab Associate Onsite- Reynoldsburg, Ohio Contract Opportunity Client Confidential - Leading Beauty & Personal Care Retail Brand We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized R&D Lab Associate to support daily laboratory operations within a fast-paced beauty and home fragrance product testing environment. This role will assist with evaluating product and packaging performance, documenting testing results, maintaining sample organization, and supporting cross-functional testing initiatives related to Research & Development, Quality Assurance, and Packaging Engineering. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional interested in beauty, personal care products, packaging engineering, or laboratory operations. Responsibilities Assist the R&D Lab Specialist with daily laboratory tasks and testing activities Maintain and document testing status, observations, and results throughout the testing lifecycle Manage samples through the full testing process including: Receipt and intake Testing initiation Evaluations at required checkpoints Retention and storage of completed samples Fill, prepare, and assemble samples for testing Pull and evaluate samples from environmental chambers Support lab organization and maintenance including cleaning workstations, organizing tools, and updating chamber charts Take photos and document product or packaging changes over time Package and ship samples to vendors and cross-functional partners Organize and manage international bulk standards and shipments Assist with QA-related product concerns requiring assessment and retesting Support additional laboratory and operational tasks as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree required in a Scientific, Engineering, or related field 0-3 years of experience in a laboratory, QA, R&D, manufacturing, or related environment Previous lab experience preferred Interest in beauty, personal care, home fragrance, packaging, or product formulation strongly preferred Curiosity around packaging performance and product testing processes Required Skills Strong attention to detail Excellent organizational and documentation skills Ability to follow standard operating procedures and testing protocols Strong verbal and written communication skills Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively Comfortable working in a changing, fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Excel SAP experience preferred #PSI1
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
