Tissue Typing Medical Laboratory Scientists perform all histocompatibility procedures including Human Leukocyte Antigens (HLA) molecular typing, antibody screening and identification, and flow cytometric crossmatches. Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to all quality assurance standards throughout all phases of testing. Work in coordination with the nursing coordinators, surgeons and Buckeye Transplant coordinators.Minimum Qualifications:
Baccalaureate degree required MLS (ASCP) certification or eligible required Either one of the following are preferred: o One (1) year histocompatibility experience in an American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) accredited laboratory o Clinical Histocompatibility Technologist (CHT) or Clinical Histocompatibility Specialist (CHS) certification by the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively. Ability to think and work independently.Preferred Qualifications:
