R D Technician Job Description Join our innovative team as an R D Technician, where you will play a crucial role in developing prototype batteries in the R D department. You will have the opportunity to specialize in specific manufacturing processes and contribute to creating the next generation of consumer products. Responsibilities Measure, collect, and analyze data, providing real-time results and feedback to engineers. Mix materials using industrial mixers. Compress materials using hydraulic presses. Dispense materials using hydraulic pumps. Assemble final products using various pieces of production equipment. Troubleshoot issues with machines and collaborate with team members to resolve them. Manage and perform tool and die changeovers. Ensure smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by taking an ownership mentality. Locate sources of problems through observation and elevate causes of concern. Complete required paperwork and document parts and material usage. Essential Skills Basic computer knowledge and navigation capability. Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Teams. Experience working in a laboratory or in a manufacturing industry dealing with small parts or chemicals such as electronics, chemical, battery, or rubber manufacturing. Experience or coursework related to chemistry, sciences, or mathematics. Ability to lift 30 lbs. Knowledge of proper chemical handling safety procedures. Openness to wearing a respirator and ability to trim facial hair if necessary. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a lab is strongly preferred. Ability to interpret shop manuals, schematics, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail. An associate's degree or college coursework in a STEM field is preferred. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
