Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented Optical Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will make and repair prescription eyeglasses. You will use special machines to cut, grind, and polish lenses. You will also fit the lenses into frames. Your goal is to make sure every pair of glasses fits the customer perfectly and matches their prescription exactly.
Key Responsibilities Read Prescriptions:
Look at doctor orders to pick the right lens blanks.
Run Machines:
Use lab equipment to cut, grind, and polish lenses.
Put Glasses Together:
Mount finished lenses into frames.
Check Quality:
Inspect every pair of glasses for scratches or mistakes.
Fix Eyewear:
Repair and adjust broken frames for customers. Clean the

Take care of tools and keep the workspace clean.
Requirements and Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills:
Good with hands and able to use small tools.
Math:
Able to do basic math for measuring lenses.
Details:
Very careful and focused on doing precise work.
Experience:
Lab experience is a plus, but we will train the right person. Work Environment Stand for long parts of the day. Work around loud lab machinery. Wear safety gear like goggles when needed. Weekends are required, options include every weekend, every other weekend and every Saturday. We are open 7 days a week.
Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
