You Are:
UST is searching for a Lab Technician who will execute validation test cases (manual and automated) across hardware, BIOS, firmware, OS, and drivers.
The opportunity:
  • Set up and configure systems including motherboards, CPUs, RAM, storage, and peripherals
  • Develop and run Python-based scripts for test automation, log parsing, and data validation
  • Collect and analyze BIOS and OS logs; perform debugging and issue triage
  • Validate system components such as DDR4/DDR5, storage (HDD/SSD), and hardware interfaces
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows/Linux/VMware)
  • Log and track defects in bug tracking tools; follow through to closure
  • Support system bring-up, rack setup, cabling, and lab maintenance
  • Perform basic network configuration (IP setup, connectivity checks)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and take ownership of assigned tasks This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position.

What you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, system architecture, and components
  • Good knowledge of BIOS, firmware, OS, drivers, and system-level concepts
  • Hands-on exposure to Linux environments (SSH, command line, tools)
  • Strong Python programming skills for scripting, automation, and problem-solving
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
