Make a difference as a Microbiology Laboratory Media Assistant As a Microbiology Laboratory Media Assistant at FOCUS Laboratories, you can expect to engage in a variety of essential tasks each day. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and sterilizing microbiological media, ensuring that all materials meet safety standards. You will assist in the maintenance of laboratory equipment, performing routine checks and calibrations. Daily activities also involve documenting procedures meticulously, collaborating with team members on research projects, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You'll gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art technology and methodologies while adhering to strict safety protocols. Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing for a consistent routine that promotes a balanced work-life dynamic. What you need to be successful To be successful as a Microbiology Laboratory Media Assistant at FOCUS Laboratories, you will need a combination of educational background and practical skills. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with prior laboratory experience specifically in a microbiology setting. Familiarity with quality control processes and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is essential, as these are integral to ensuring the reliability and safety of laboratory work.
