Travel Job Summary The Medical Technician (Traveler) performs routine and moderately complex laboratory testing under the supervision of Medical Technologists and Laboratory Leadership. This role involves specimen processing, test execution, quality control, and accurate reporting of results while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and manual laboratory testing using automated and semi-automated systems Handle specimen collection, processing, and preparation according to SOPs Analyze, review, and release laboratory test results accurately Operate, monitor, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment Adhere to quality control (QC) and quality assurance protocols Document calibrations, maintenance, and corrective actions Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting test performance; escalate when necessary Report critical values in accordance with laboratory procedures Maintain compliance with
CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA
, and safety guidelines Ensure proper labeling, storage, and expiration tracking of reagents and test kits Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities Participate in training, competency assessments, and departmental meetings Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment Required Qualifications Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field 1-3 years of clinical laboratory experience (preferred) Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety standards, and regulatory compliance Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Assignment Details•
