Job Description
Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia ( CCP ) is a professional medical organization committed to the healing mission of Medicine, and is part of a national cardiology platform, Cardiovascular Logistics (CVL). CCP is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. This position will be responsible for moderate complexity testing in the laboratory located within the new CCP Now cardiac walk-in clinic. Please note that this role is entitled to a $500 sign on bonus.
Responsibilities include:
Collecting patient samples following proper patient identification and specimen labeling processes. Following laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting and recording patient test results. Adhering to the laboratory's quality control policies and documenting all quality control activities. Operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation ensuring proper calibration and performance. Being capable of identifying and troubleshooting problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results. Following the laboratory's established corrective action policies and procedures and documenting actions taken. Complying with all laboratory safety standards, SOPs and regulatory requirements. Cross-functional collaboration with team members and other office staff to ensure patient safety, satisfaction and continuous quality improvement.Physical requirements:
Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time Able to lift up to 30 pounds Ability to discern colors for visually read tests Dexterity to perform manual tasks Exposure to blood and body fluids, chemicals Education requirements: Have earned an Associate degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology or nursing from an accredited institution OR Be a high school graduate or equivalent and have successfully completed an official military medical laboratory procedures course of at least a duration of 50 weeks and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician)Similar jobs in Lansdale, PA
