Quality Control Laboratory Technician Job Description As a Quality Control Laboratory Technician, you will perform analytical and physical testing on finished products, ensuring the highest standards of quality. You will have the opportunity to cross-train in various labs, utilizing techniques such as gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, UV-Vis spectrophotometry, titration, and auto-titration. Your role will include conducting air testing, peroxide value testing, and loss-on-drying testing. You will manage multiple lots, communicate progress, and prioritize tasks based on production needs. Responsibilities Conduct analytical and physical testing on finished products using various techniques. Perform air testing, including peroxide value testing. Execute physical testing procedures such as sample preparation, foreign material checks, and portioning. Perform loss-on-drying testing and related calculations. Manage multiple lots and communicate progress with the team lead. Prioritize testing based on production needs. Document results accurately in LIMS and maintain GMP-compliant lab notebooks. Maintain LC tracking spreadsheets and support lab maintenance. Ensure proper chemical handling, cleaning, and disposal. Review completed work with analysts and support testing for samples from global sites. Essential Skills Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (May 2026 graduates considered). Analytical experience, including academic experience. Hands-on experience with standard lab equipment such as volumetric flasks, analytical balances, and glass pipettes. Understanding of chemical properties and analytical testing principles. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with GMP is a plus. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Good documentation experience and team player. Work Environment This position is based in a vitamin and supplement facility focused on the production and testing of nutraceutical products. The facility is an open campus with five buildings, an onsite cafeteria, and lounge facilities. You will work in a collaborative team environment with employees of varying experience levels. Typical work hours are Mon-Fri 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or Sun-Thurs 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with initial training Mon-Fri. Tests range from 1.5 to 5 hours, and full product testing may take up to two days. The role requires frequent communication with lab personnel. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Belvidere, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
