Full Job Description Primary Function:
Responsible for analyzing, evaluating and interpreting various specimens for the detection, diagnosis and treatment of a variety of medical conditions.
Qualifications/Specifications:
Bachelor's Degree in clinical laboratory science or biological, chemical, physical science from an accredited institution; and Completion of a twelve-month clinical laboratory training program approved by the U. S. Department of Education and/or accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) or equivalent; and Completion of a nationally recognized certification examination for medical laboratory scientist, such as that offered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent within 6 months of employment Associates Degree in clinical laboratory science or biological, chemical, physical science from an accredited institution; and Completion of a twelve-month clinical laboratory training program approved by the U. S. Department of Education and/or accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) or equivalent; and Completion of a nationally recognized certification examination for medical laboratory technician, such as that offered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent within 6 months of employment.
