Monday-Friday, 1 st shift (6:30AM-3PM)

$22.00/hr
Duration:
1yr contract, can extend SUMMARY We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sample Management Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). This role involves managing chemical inventories, processing samples, and maintaining accurate records in a laboratory environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety and Compliance:
Work safely in the laboratory, adhering to all safety protocols. Maintain required PPE certification for laboratory and common areas. Attend safety meetings and complete safety training. Conduct weekly and monthly safety inspections as assigned.
Sample Management:
Manage receipt and registration of all external and internal samples. Process Mosaic orders and prepare them for weighing. Coordinate L1 tests by selecting and grouping plates for testing. Assist with HTS solubilization and preparation of samples for testing. Backup to other SMF team members and HTS processes. Oversee distribution of Development Analytical samples. Process Shipping Requests and verify samples Perform precise weighing and measuring of samples Accurately label sample containers Prepare necessary documentation (SDS, Certificate of Analysis, Chain of Custody, warning labels, etc.), and prepare shipments to both internal and external labs Maintain GLP qualifications, training records, and documentation of equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in a laboratory setting preferred. Familiarity with handling chemical samples, including commercial pesticides, is a plus.
Skills:
Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills. Functional math skills to convert unit types and perform precise measurements. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to understand hardware and software relating to HTS processes. Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work standing on feet most of the day. Willingness to learn to use a respirator for tasks performed in a walk-in hood. Excellent planning, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel; comfortable learning and working within multiple database systems. Ability to work independently, prioritize workloads, and consistently meet or exceed established timelines. Experience working under tight deadlines and adapting to changing business needs. Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with others to achieve shared objectives. Strong team-oriented mindset, with experience working in cross-functional and globally distributed teams. Commitment to continuous improvement, professional development, and process optimization.
